Praising Him Always

Dearest Tribe Members,

Many of you have become like family to me as we have shared our trials, tribulations, successes, and joys together. As I reflect on what has been the most important aspects of growing strong in the body of Christ, I realize it is praise, worship, and thansksgiving.

It is so easy to have our setbacks be on our mind and continue with negative thinking and thoughts. I struggled with this through the years and realized I needed a routine of thanksgiving and praise that fits my personality. Each one of our relationships with God is individual and unique, just as each part is integral and different in the body of Christ.

King David wrote many Psalms which speak for us instead of to us. They touch my heartbecause they cover the range of emotions each one of us has. In Psalm 30:11-12, King David looked back on a very dark period in his life.

“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. Oh Lord, my God, I will give thanks to You forever.”

I have found my way of seeing the beauty from the ashes.

My love and awe of nature has been with me my entire life. I get so excited each time I see a beautiful sunset, butterfly, hummingbird, flower, or waterfall. It is as if I am seeing it for the first time every time. The Artist of this tapestry and Conductor of this symphony is the Greatest of All. In these moments, I am overwhelmed with joy and begin to praise and thank him.

These are my intimate moments with Abba, Our Father,  when I talk to Adonai Our Lord. So now I begin my days, walking in nature with my faithful companion in fur, Pepe.  He walks before me to guard me and chase suspicious squirrels. Pepe reminds me not to take life so seriously all the time and to stop and appreciate the blessings all around me.

As I walk, I begin by saying out loud, “Thank you Father for today. Thank you for the sun that warms my body and causes the flowers to bloom. Thank you for the rain that nourishes the land and sustains life. Thank you for the music of the birds and the wind that envelopes me like the Ruach HaKodesh.

Thank you for the food you provided for me and the shelter I am given. Thank you for your son Yeshua/Jesus Christ, for His sacrifice and showing me the way, the truth and the light.

Thank you for my companion Pepe. Thank you for my friends, family, brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you for the trials and tribulations that have refined me like silver in your hands. Thank you for carrying me through my darkest hours”

As my thanksgiving continues, my heart swells with adoration and joy for Our Father. In these moments, I begin to praise Him by singing a song or simply by exclaiming, “Holy, holy, holy!”

When I return from my walk, my spirit is lifted, and my eyes see clearly through the chaos of the world. I see these walks as God‘s Bootcamp for me. He is training me to walk in HIS Kingdom even while I am in this fallen world. We have such a good, good Father.

Hallelujah and Amen!

With many blessings and great love,
