A plane crash and healing outside of time and space
Dearest Tribe Members,
A friend of mine asked me to write a chapter in her book about healing in the quantum field. For me, this relates to God hearing our prayers outside of time and space and how everything that happens, every person we meet, has a purpose. We may not understand it fully at the time it occurs, but as our life unfolds we can look back and see how it fits into the tapestry of our lives. I admit not everything can be explained in our human minds that happens in this world, and I rely on Isaiah 55:9 to comfort me.
Isaiah 55:9 ESV
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
In writing this chapter, I finally felt ready to write about the day of June 26, 2022. I wanted to share it with you, as perhaps you may get some revelations about your own life. I would love to hear from you if you do.
I’ve always felt a connection to God from the very young age of 3 years old, and it is almost as if I could remember Him from before I was even born. He is my Father in Heaven, my Savior, and the Holy Spirit who guides and protects me here on earth. This deep knowing and intimate relationship with Him from such a young age makes me wonder why some people experience this understanding more powerfully than others. I believe a near-death experience while in my mother’s womb may explain my awareness of the spiritual realm. Those who have had similar experiences often speak of seeing beyond the veil, tapping into a deeper spiritual awareness that is available to all who seek Him.
My experiences extend to my work in the medical field, where I’ve witnessed moments of life and death firsthand. In the hospital, at times we had to resuscitate patients or “run a code”. I remember some of these patients who were clinically dead for 30 to 40 minutes and were revived. Days later they recounted astonishing experiences of floating above their bodies, being aware of everything happening around them—what we were wearing and what we were saying. Sometimes these patients talked about meeting angels or family members who had passed on. Some talked about going to a different realm; some feel they went to heaven, and some feel they went to an in-between place. Each patient that recounted these experiences reported how they were changed by these supernatural events. I was able to follow some of their journeys back in my office, and they reported seeing the world differently, and believing in something more than what is seen and tangible. These stories are not just remarkable; they illuminate the existence of something greater than ourselves and the profound connections we all share.
My journey has also been shaped by various extraordinary events, including surviving a plane crash. I was a passenger in that harrowing incident and could have easily lost my life or ended up paralyzed. Yet, here I am, standing strong and grateful, which serves as a powerful testimony to resilience and faith in Our Creator in Heaven.
On June 26, 2022, I found myself as a passenger aboard a small aircraft, specifically a Piper Comanche—a single engine four-seater—embarking on a trip from St. Petersburg, Florida, to Newnan, Georgia. The flight began smoothly, but everything changed when we were around seven miles outside our destination. Suddenly, the plane began to shake significantly, which I describe as feeling like I was being tossed around in a washing machine.
In the cockpit, the pilot was telling the air traffic controller that we were having engine problems and had to land the plane emergently. The air traffic controller instructed the pilot to execute a 180-degree turn and head toward another airport—a remote location in a small town called Warm Springs, Georgia which was devoid of any support, further away than the Newnan airport. This confused me. Was it not wiser to attempt an emergency landing right away?
When I voiced my concerns, the pilot barked back: “Be quiet, you’re not a pilot.” True, I lacked the credentials, but in that moment, helplessness and despair washed over me. I felt trapped within this tin can of a vehicle, with no escape. All I could do was pray.
And so I did just that. I instinctively placed my left hand on the ceiling and my right on the side of the plane, pouring every ounce of my being into fervent prayer. The pilot initiated the turn, and time stretched into an eternity, filled with shouting my prayers into the roar of the engine and the quiet internal conversations with my Father in Heaven.
Instantly God reminded me of another aircraft experience from years prior, back when I was on a Delta flight traveling from Detroit to Fort Lauderdale. That memory began to replay in my mind as the plane shook against the turbulence, intertwining my past with a stark present.
It’s amazing how certain moments in life can linger in our memories, isn’t it? Twenty-seven years prior, I found myself on a Delta flight from Detroit to Fort Lauderdale for an interview, when an unexpected event unfolded. The trip looked like an ordinary one until the co-pilot came out of the cockpit in a rather alarming manner.
He walked down the center aisle, rolled up the carpet, and began removing some floorboards, much to the bewilderment of the passengers. With his head down into the cubby space, he paused, then turned to the people around him with a look of realization. After putting everything back in place, he returned to the cockpit without uttering a single word of explanation.
Then, the captain’s voice came over the intercom. Calm and confident, he addressed us, telling us not to worry about the co-pilot’s actions. He explained that they were dealing with a warning from a sensor indicating that one of the landing gears wasn't functioning properly. He sent the copilot back to manually look at the landing gears, and the co-pilot verified that one landing gear was indeed stuck!
What unfolded next was surreal. The pilot assured us that it was just a “minor” issue, but we needed a fully operational landing gear for a safe return. He calmly explained that we would circle back to Detroit, while the Hazmat teams prepared for our arrival. He gave us a heads-up on what to expect: foam on the runway, flashing emergency lights, and crews in Hazmat suits. As if that wasn’t enough, we were informed about the fuel being drained from the aircraft. This was to minimize the extent of an explosion in case of a crash.
As you can imagine, panic erupted among many passengers. However, I found an unexpected sense of shalom/peace come over me. In that moment, I heard God’s voice telling me, “You won’t die in a plane crash, that is not how you will leave this world.”
I had complete trust and unshakeable faith in this moment, and I knew we would be alright. I felt as though God’s truth wrapped around me like a protective cloak.
Meanwhile our plane was circling the Detroit International Airport. We made one last loop in the sky, and with fuel running low, the captain’s voice returned, urging us to brace for our final descent. Tension hung in the air, but just as we prepared to land, a miracle happened—the landing gear engaged flawlessly! We touched down smoothly on the runway, and relief swept over the cabin.
This incredible memory kept me sane during the tumultuous flight to Warm Springs, Georgia.
I thought to myself, “Ok. God told me I wouldn’t leave this world in a plane crash. We are going to make it somehow.”
But then the realization strikes me: God never promised me that I wouldn’t be in a plane crash; He only assured me I wouldn’t die!
“Oh no!” I thought. “This is going to really hurt!” My mind raced through all the horrific possibilities that could unfold.
But amidst this chaos, I found a glimmer of hope. By some miracle, the plane stays in the air even with the prolonged turbulence. And then, we finally glimpse the Warm Springs runway ahead—light at the end of the tunnel.
As this occurred, in my mind’s eye I perceived a divine intervention—two colossal hands, colossal wings encircling the plane, radiant in my spirit’s vision. There’s no doubt; we are in God’s hands. Yet, suddenly, everything goes to a sickening quiet as the engines stop. I watched the gauges as the RPMs drop to zero, and instead of gliding gently, we start dropping like a rock from the sky.
I turn to the pilot, bewildered. “I thought we were supposed to glide!” He could only respond with a grim, “I thought so too.” Not exactly reassuring. Attempting to lighten the moment, I jokingly ask if he had a parachute. His lack of amusement makes it clear that my humor isn’t appreciated.
But even in my anxiety, I can feel the divine presence cradling us. In these existential moments I didn’t try to strike a bargain with God—there were no conditional prayers. I only asked for His Will to be done, with full faith and acceptance.
Then, the pilot’s somber announcement cuts through the haze: “We’re going to crash now.” My response was calm and I turned to him and said, “Okay.”
In that instant, I heard a divine voice urging me to turn my head towards the pilot and away from the windshield, as the pine trees below loomed ominously during our descent.
I remember flashes of white as we struck the trees, multiple impacts causing the world around me to fade. Consciousness slipped away, and I was surrounded by all white with complete peace. Then suddenly I was brought back to my body and my eyes opened. “Am I alive or dead?” I thought to myself. I had to assess my reality—my spirit was inside my body, and yes, I felt pain. I must be alive!

Tune in next month as I tell the rest of my story.
With the greatest love and many blessings.
