Dearest Tribe Members, This letter is for all of you who are struggling with being in the refiner’s fire; with the trials of pain, betrayal, loneliness, and hardships.
Matthew 22:14 ESV “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Many Believers are called by God to His service. However, few are ever chosen and appointed to walk in that service. Many of us wonder why. Good parents must teach their children to be self sufficient, responsible, accountable, and grow in knowledge and wisdom. Our Father is a loving parent and wants us to be not only in His Image, but in His Likeness! Wow, what a humbling thought. The more responsibility you carry, the more is required of you. Our learning consists of testing. The Bible continually warns Believers that they must expect to undergo testing. 1 Peter 1:6-7 CJB “Rejoice in this, even though for a little while you may have to experience grief in various trials. 7 Even gold is tested for genuineness by fire. The purpose of these trials is so that your trust’s genuineness, which is far more valuable than perishable gold, will be judged worthy of praise, glory and honor at the revealing of Yeshua the Messiah.” 1 Peter 4:12-14 CJB “Dear friends, don’t regard as strange the fiery ordeal occurring among you to test you, as if something extraordinary were happening to you. 13 Rather, to the extent that you share the fellowship of the Messiah’s sufferings, rejoice; so that you will rejoice even more when his Sh’khinah/Holy Spirit is revealed. 14 If you are being insulted because you bear the name of the Messiah, how blessed you are! For the Spirit of the Sh’khinah/Holy Spirit, that is, the Spirit of God, is resting on you!” Moshe/Moses is one of many examples of great servants who learned to endure testing. His first test was worldly rank and pleasure. Brought up in pharaoh’s house as the presumptive heir to Egypt’s throne, Moshe could have enjoyed all wealth, culture, and luxury of Egypt. He could have had it all, according to the standards of this world. But he refused the earthly temptations and was rejected by his own people, persecuted by pharaoh, and endured 40 years of exile, poverty, and loneliness. He overcame these hardships because he knew the temporary wealth here in earth was nothing compared to the true glory of God and the eternal reward that God offers. Hebrews 11:26-27 CJB “He had come to regard abuse suffered on behalf of the Messiah as greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he kept his eyes fixed on the reward. 27 By trusting, he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered as one who sees the unseen.” How many Believers stand true to the glory and eternal reward of service to our Lord and Saviour when confronted with losing any of their world comfort and success. Two main ways Our Father tests those who are called to service are by: 1) Allowing things to become hard, and 2) Allowing things to become easy In the parable of the sower in Mark 4:17-19, Yeshua/Jesus compared the seed which fell on stony ground to believers who “endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble”. (Verse 19) But He also compared the seed that fell among thorns to believers for whom “the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and then desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” (Verse 19) For me, most of my life I let the opinions of people and standards of this world drown out the opinion of Our Father. I compared myself to others in the world and thought I was doing well. However, there was never any satisfaction, as the many goals of my life continued to never be enough. I always felt as though I had to “perform” for others, as topics of conversation and ideals of success were guided by the superficial media. It was a grand revelation when I realized what a lie we were all living, following the opinions and lifestyles of others that truly did not care for our wellbeing. I also went through a tremendous number of fiery trials in my lifetime, and it was trust and faith in Our Lord and Saviour that got
me through every time.
I realize that more is to come in the upheaval of the world’s system; however, my training through these trials has prepared me with the Armour of God to face any Goliath that comes my way. Remember you are not alone. Remember you are loved and watched over. Remember there are more of us than you realize. You are stronger than you know. Wonderful things are planned for those who are Faithful and True. I thank God for all of the ups and downs in my life, even when I do not understand them. I know His Way is perfect, and His Timing is perfect.
